The Bachelor of Arts in psychology is a social science major situated within the College of Arts and Sciences’ liberal arts tradition.
This flexible program, selected by roughly 70% of Lehigh’s psychology majors, provides rigorous training in psychology while leaving room for double-majoring, pursuing one or more minors, and exploring other opportunities available at Lehigh. Unlike the BS major which requires additional designated courses in math, natural science, and other social sciences, the BA major allows students greater freedom in selecting which courses they will take outside of the psychology curriculum.
BA students can choose a general path or select a concentration in Clinical & Behavioral Health, Cognition & Cognitive Neuroscience, Development, or Social & Personality Psychology.
The BA major provides strong preparation for graduate study in psychology or allied fields, as well as a diverse range of careers in counseling, social work, education, government, law, or business.
