BA Program in Psychology

Overview

The Bachelor of Arts in Psychology is a social science major grounded in the liberal arts tradition of Lehigh's College of Arts and Sciences.

Chosen by roughly 70% of Lehigh’s psychology majors, the BA offers rigorous training in psychological science while providing the flexibility to double-major, pursue one or more minors, or explore other academic opportunities across the university. Compared with the BS, which includes additional designated courses in mathematics, natural science, and other social sciences, the BA gives students greater freedom to tailor their coursework outside the psychology major to match their interests and goals.

The BA prepares students for graduate study in psychology and related fields, as well as careers in counseling, social work, education, government, law, business, and other professions that value strong analytical, communication, and research skills.
